Did our ad say “poison children”? No. The English text says “negatively influence our children.”
Carol Day’s email described it as an accusation of poisoning. In this video, Sheldon explains why the Chinese phrase「荼毒」does not mean someone is literally poisoning children. Debate the message if you disagree with it, but represent what the ad actually says.
