This is more than a new candidate joining our team. Sheldon and Advance Richmond Chair Kevin Lai have already stood side by side for Richmond.
In 2024, Sheldon and Kevin helped organize the STOP CPH campaign opposing the proposed Cambie Permanent Housing project. They later continued working with Richmond residents on public safety, drug policy and community accountability.
Sheldon was born at Richmond Hospital and continues to live and work in Richmond today. He has been an outspoken advocate for safer neighbourhoods, stronger public consultation, treatment and recovery, and greater accountability at City Hall.
From opposing the proposed supervised consumption site at Richmond Hospital, to STOP CPH, to speaking out over the future of supportive housing in Richmond, Sheldon has consistently shown up when residents asked to be heard.
