Tonight marks the final night of the Richmond Night Market at its current location. Its lease has ended, the land is being considered for redevelopment, and no new site has been confirmed.
For more than 25 years, Richmond’s night market culture has brought visitors from across the region, helped small vendors grow, and brought communities together through food.
This tradition is bigger than any one location. Advance Richmond wants community night markets that are free to enter, affordable to enjoy, and able to create new opportunities for local businesses and young people.
The gates may close tonight, but Richmond’s night market tradition should not end here.
