Jizhou (William) Wang is a Richmond resident, father of three and husband. His supplied campaign materials state that he was born in 1975 and immigrated to Canada in 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology and pursued further study in finance at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

His materials describe nearly 20 years of work in investment banking and capital markets, including founding Yihe Capital.
